Comprehensive Genealogical Services (CGS) is a non profit organization based in Mecklenburg County, Charlotte, North Carolina. CGS is committed to the preservation of the history, genealogy and culture of the African - Ancestral population of the community.  Comprehensive Genealogical Services gives research assistance to any individual, family or ethnic group without regards to race or point of origin within the context of American Genealogy.  CGS stresses the importance of African-Ancestral history and genealogy by encouraging active participation in recording, researching and documenting family histories.
